Vogue Australia recently turned its attention to our Tennessee River house in Knoxville. The 5,000-square-foot home draws its inspiration from the English Cotswolds, with rooflines and natural materials — stone, concrete, wood — that echo the centuries-old farmhouses of that countryside, reimagined for a hillside above the Tennessee River. The site does a lot of the work: an infinity pool that seems to spill toward the water, a wall of windows opening the living room onto the river, and roughly 150 trees we planted to give the property the lush, settled feeling it has today.
